In an article by Robert W. Scott, editor of Accounting Technology, he mentions labeling 2009 as “The Year of Workflow”. CDMS agrees with Mr. Scott and recognizes that implementing document management (DM) technology will be as vital to a business as implementing the use of computers as a part of business operations was some twenty years ago. Businesses need to stay competitive and they need now more than ever to control costs. Businesses are not only faced with the push inside their organizations to implement DM technology but also from their customers and vendors as well.

Paperless technology that provides a workflow element is what businesses are demanding. No longer are businesses satisfied with software that only stores electronic documents. They want a full service workflow system that saves time, money and is easy to use. They want a system that does not revolve around one other particular software like QuickBooks. They want a document management software that interfaces with numerous proprietary software. In other words, if a business decides to change their accounting software from QuickBooks to Mas90 they want a document interface program that can adapt to either one.
